Families as Learning Partners

Families as Learning Partners (FLP) is an opportunity provided to every TCCS family. Our objective is to allow families to interact with their child(ren) during classroom instruction. During visitation, following morning line-up, families are invited to join the class until to work with their child on the morning’s lesson (reading, writing, math games, etc). Please note the protocol below for participating in this opportunity,

On your visitation day, families will visit classrooms immediately after arrival at 8:45 a.m. Families of students having breakfast can meet their child at 8:35 in the multipurpose room.

Families will participate in a culminating event:  Publishing party, poetry reading, or investigation aligned to the unit of study to afford families the opportunity to learn in collaboration with their child which will end at 9:25 a.m.

At the end of the activity, families will be invited to have a coffee social with Principal Verdiner in the Library.
